On January 8-11, 2023, the Planetary and Global Health Program (PGHP) of the St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine (SLMCCM)-William H. Quasha Memorial, the secretariat of Planetary Health Philippines, hosted an international workshop focused on building capacity for planetary health education.

The CATA-Earth Consortium is a new group of eight institutions of higher learning in Asia and Europe dedicated to advancing education in the new field of planetary health. The goal of the workshop was for the members of the consortium to develop a joint proposal for a three year-long project focused on building the capacity of six Asian and two European schools and universities in designing and delivering community-engaged, digitally-enabled, and solutions-oriented planetary health education.

The members of the consortium are: UMC Utrecht, The Netherlands (Lead); St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine, Philippines; ISGlobal (Barcelona Institute for Global Health), Spain; University of the Philippines Los Banos, Philippines; Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia; Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia; Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh; and Asian University for Women, Bangladesh.
