Anna Flora Natividad Cruz Salazar

Medical Student, St. Luke's Medical Center College of Medicine - William H. Quasha Memorial

Anna Flora, also known as “Taffy”, is a medical student at St. Luke’s College of Medicine. She has always been interested in health sciences and have always wanted to become a doctor so she can help people and save lives.

She majored in Biology at UP Diliman, where she learned about the severity of climate change and the ways in which anthropogenic activities contribute to environmental degradation. This is where she began advocating for environmental sustainability.

Now as a 2nd year medical student, and as part of the St. Luke’s Planetary and Global Health Program, Taffy is beginning to learn about the several ways climate change and the destruction of nature can negatively impact the health of the people.

While she still hopes to help people and save lives, Taffy has come to realize that in order to keep people healthy, we must keep our planet healthy first.
